Rules

  1. Entry Limit: Each raffle is limited to a maximum of 1,000 entrants.
  2. Winner Selection: A random number generator will determine the winning ticket number.
  3. Eligibility: Employees, volunteers, and affiliates of New Life Academy, hereinafter "the sponsor," are not eligible to participate.
  4. Age and Residency Requirements: Entrants must be at least 18 years old and legal residents of the United States.
  5. Use of Proceeds: Net proceeds from each raffle will support the sponsor's music program, prison ministry, and general operations.
  6. Prize Costs: The sponsor will cover all sales tax, shipping, and insurance for awarded prizes. Winners are responsible for any additional costs.
  7. Raffle Timeline:
    • All raffles will conclude within 180 days of the first ticket sale.
    • If 1,000 tickets are not sold within that time, the sponsor may either cancel the raffle or select a winner at its discretion.
    • If canceled, entrants may choose to receive a full refund or roll over their ticket purchase to a new raffle for the same prize.
  8. Entrant Notification: Entrants will receive email notifications immediately after the raffle concludes. Notices will be sent to the email address provided during entry. Emails sent before 4:00 p.m. EST on a business day are deemed delivered on that day; otherwise, they are deemed delivered the next business day.
  9. Winner Confirmation:
    • Winners must confirm their street address within 72 hours of email notification to arrange prize shipment.
    • If confirmation is not received, the sponsor will attempt to contact the winner by telephone within 24 hours.
    • If the winner’s address cannot be confirmed, a new winner will be selected.
  10. Publicity Requirements: Before receiving their prize, winners must provide:
    • A 1200px x 1200px digital image (jpg) of themselves.
    • Consent to release their city and state of residence for display in the Winners Gallery, the sponsor's newsletter, and any press materials promoting this or future raffles.
  11. Tax Implications: Prizes are considered taxable income under federal and state law. No portion of the ticket price is tax-deductible.
  12. Tax Filing Requirements:
    • Winners must provide their Social Security number for the sponsor to file IRS Form 1099G.
    • The sponsor is required to collect 20% of the prize value from the winner before awarding the prize.
  13. Liability Waiver: By entering, participants release the sponsor, its directors, officers, members, and agents from any liability or claims related to the raffle or prizes. Liability, if any, is limited to the ticket price paid.
  14. Rule Changes: Any changes to the prizes, rules, or terms will be published on the GuitarRaffle.com Facebook timeline: https://mbasic.facebook.com/GuitarRafflecom-1704319026515190/.
  15. Ticket Purchases:
    • Tickets will not be distributed without full payment.
    • Ticket purchases are non-transferable and non-refundable.
  16. Acceptance of Rules: Purchasing a ticket constitutes agreement to these rules.
  17. Entry Rejection: Entries that fail to meet all qualifications will be rejected.
  18. Dispute Resolution: Any disputes regarding the raffle will be resolved at the sole discretion of the sponsor, whose decision is final.
  19. Jurisdiction: Any legal disputes related to the raffle will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Hampden County, Massachusetts.
  20. Compliance: The raffle is void where prohibited by law.
